The AegisTEC+ is a touchscreen environmental controller for greenhouse ventilation, heating, and cooling. Ten mappable relay outputs and a built-in 20 amp 24VDC power supply let one unit run up to five curtain or vent channels, plus fans, heaters, grow lights and dehumidification — configured from a touchscreen that explains every setting as you enter it.
Why growers choose the AegisTEC+
No external vent motor boxes required. The controller includes a 20 amp 24VDC power supply and drives low voltage curtain motors directly, with an individual resettable circuit breaker protecting each motor. Competing controllers typically cannot switch motor power themselves and require a separate powered interface box for every motor group — added hardware, added wiring, added cost. The AegisTEC+ eliminates that expense on ventilation.
Built around natural ventilation. The control logic is designed to cool with curtains and vents first and bring mechanical cooling in only when ventilation cannot keep up. Fans can be set to shut off once vents have opened, and to shut off again above the temperature at which they stop providing useful cooling. Both reduce electrical load.
Buy only the sensors you need. Temperature control is standard. Wind, rain, humidity and a second temperature sensor are each optional and independent. Start with ventilation and add crop protection as budget allows, without replacing the controller.
Staged, incremental ventilation. Vents open for a set number of seconds, pause for a set number of minutes while the controller keeps reading temperature, then either hold position or continue. Curtains find the position the house actually needs instead of opening fully and overshooting.
Self-documenting interface. Each configuration and settings screen describes its own function. Frequently used parameters can be assigned to shortcut buttons on the main screen, so routine seasonal adjustments do not require scrolling the full menu.
Understanding the 10 outputs
The AegisTEC+ has ten relay outputs. Planning your configuration means allocating those ten outputs across the equipment you want to control.

Vents and light deprivation curtains require two outputs each, because the motor must run in both directions. Fans, heaters, lights and dehumidification require one output each.
Outputs 9 and 10 ship configured as dry contacts for heater thermostat lines. Additional dry contacts can be created by separating the voltage bus on other outputs, so heater capacity is not strictly limited to two if your configuration calls for more.
Example allocations within the ten outputs:

Control capabilities
Ventilation
Up to five independent vent channels, each with its own opening setpoint, run time in seconds, idle time in minutes, and closing gap. Roll-up curtains, ridge vents and hinged vents driven by low voltage linear actuators all configure as vent channels.
Vents can be assigned a closing sequence, so that in structures where vents interfere with each other they close in the correct order. On a wind or rain event, vents close by timed partial travel rather than staged temperature cycling, so you can specify how far each vent closes.
Heating
Independent setpoints per heater, with an adjustable gap between the turn-on and turn-off temperature to control cycling frequency. Heater setpoints also respond to DIF periods. Heaters are switched through dry contacts on the thermostat line — the controller signals the heater rather than switching heater power.
Cooling
Up to six cooling devices: exhaust fans, horizontal airflow fans, AC louvers and evaporative curtains. Each fan has its own start temperature and an adjustable differential. Two energy-saving behaviors are available: fans can be set to shut off once the vents have opened past a given temperature, and to shut off above a high temperature where they no longer provide useful cooling.
Grow lights
Up to two grow light outputs on scheduled on/off times, with two on/off cycles per day, plus additional scheduling for a second set of lights.
Dehumidification
A dedicated dehumidification output with its own humidity setpoint and differential, independent of the fan humidity function.
Dual zone
Adding a second temperature sensor creates a second control zone. You then assign which curtains, heaters and fans follow the second sensor, so one controller can manage two houses or two distinct areas of a single range.

Wind override. Wind speed is averaged over an adjustable period so short gusts do not trigger vent closure. Separate close and reopen speeds prevent the vents from cycling around a single threshold. Choose which vents respond and how far each one closes.
Rain override. The rain sensor closes assigned vents for a set duration. Sensor mounting height sets sensitivity — mounted higher, it is less sensitive.
Humidity override with low temperature lockout. High humidity can open a vent, start fan #1, or run a dehumidifier. Each humidity function has its own low temperature cutoff, so venting and fan operation for disease control never come at the cost of chilling the crop.
DIF and timed setpoint control
The AegisTEC+ supports two independent DIF periods per day, each with two separate time windows. Within each period, vents, fans and heaters all operate on their own alternate setpoints.
DIF is used to raise or lower temperature at specific times of day — dropping temperature in the morning to reduce humidity coming out of night, or trapping heat late in the day. Growers using temperature differential to manage plant height and morphology have the scheduling resolution to do it here. DIF periods can also be forced manually from the touchscreen when conditions call for it.
A battery-backed clock keeps time through a power outage, so light deprivation and DIF schedules resume correctly rather than needing to be reset after every interruption.

Installation notes
Mount the enclosure indoors in a dry, protected location using the included brackets. Cable entries must be made in the bottom of the enclosure only — drilling the top or sides voids the warranty.
Mount the temperature sensor at the center of the structure at crop height, out of direct sunlight. Keep all sensor wiring at least one foot from high voltage wiring, and away from VFD output wiring in particular.
Never connect 110/220 VAC to the controller terminals. The AegisTEC+ is not designed to switch AC power. AC accessories connect through a contactor box. Heater thermostat wires must go to dry contacts, not to 24VDC powered terminals — doing so permanently damages the controller.
All electrical connections must be made by a qualified, licensed electrician in accordance with all state and local codes.
How many zones does it control?
One or two. A second temperature sensor creates a second zone, and you assign which curtains, heaters and fans follow it.
How many vents can it operate?
Up to five vent channels. Each channel uses two of the ten relay outputs, so five vents consumes all ten. Most configurations mix vents with fans and heaters — see the output allocation table above.
Does it need an external box to run DC curtain motors?
No. The built-in 20 amp 24VDC supply powers low voltage motors directly, with a resettable breaker per motor. An interface box is only required for AC powered equipment such as exhaust fans and AC louvers.
What is DIF and can this controller do it?
DIF uses different temperature setpoints at different times of day — commonly to reduce humidity in the morning or trap heat late in the day, and to manage plant height through day/night temperature difference. The AegisTEC+ supports two DIF periods per day, each with two time windows, applying to vents, fans and heaters.
Can I control it manually?
Yes. Every relay can be forced on, forced off, or returned to auto directly from the main touchscreen.
Can it replace my existing heater thermostats?
Yes. The controller signals the heater over its thermostat line through dry contacts, replacing a standalone thermostat.
