No, the AdvanSync wireless interface can communicate with the AdvanSync gateway over distances of up to 4,000 feet (depending on topography). However, you will need to connect the gateway directly to your Internet network.
What controllers is AdvanSync compatible with?
Currently, AdvanSync is compatible with the AegisTec and the AegisTecPlus controller. We will be adding more controllers as soon as we are able.
I have multiple controllers. What hardware do I need?
Each controller needs its own wireless interface (43-LCM). However, one gateway (43-ASG) will be sufficient for up to 10 controllers.
Is there an alarm notification available for a power outage?
In the case of a power outage, there is an alarm if a device stops sending data, indicating a data disconnection (cut cable, software issue, gateway down, or power outage, etc.). So, while the alarm does not indicate the reason for the data disconnection, it will make you aware of the problem.
