Dosatron fertilizer injectors run on water pressure alone — no electricity, no pump motor, no power drop to the greenhouse. Install one in your supply line and it doses fertilizer, fungicide, acid or other concentrate in exact proportion to the water moving through it. Set the ratio, lock it, and the injector holds it regardless of fluctuations in flow rate or line pressure.
Dosatron has built proportional injectors for over 35 years. Wear parts are field-serviceable with Dosatron’s own seal and rebuild kits, which we stock for every model below.

How it works
Incoming water drives an internal piston, which draws concentrate up the suction tube in fixed proportion to the water volume passing through. Mixing happens inside the injector body, and line pressure carries the finished solution downstream. Because the piston is driven by the same water it is dosing, the ratio holds without recalibration.
Which model do I need?
Start with your maximum flow rate, then confirm your line pressure and connection size.

Check the connection size before you order. The four models run 3/4″, 1-1/4″ and 1-1/2″ NPT. Stepping up in flow usually means stepping up in pipe size.
D25F1 — 11 GPM, fixed 1%
The simplest injector we sell. The ratio is fixed at 1% and there is no selector to bump or mis-set. If you feed at a single concentration all season, or you have had a setting changed by mistake, the D25F1 removes that possibility. Smallest unit in the lineup at 4 lbs and 14″ tall.
Typical applications: single-recipe feed programs, line cleaning, chlorine and sanitizer injection, small ranges.
D14MZ2 — 14 GPM, 0.2–2%
Adjustable via a lockable selector, and the direct replacement for the older DI16. Higher flow ceiling and fewer internal parts than the model it replaced. The usual choice when feed concentration changes by crop or growth stage.
Typical applications: mixed-crop greenhouses, variable feed programs, DI16 replacement.
D6MZ2VF — 26 GPM, 0.2–2%
Dosatron’s replacement for the D45RE15, with a higher flow ceiling and a much wider pressure range. Inlet injection technology improves blending consistency, an internal motor sleeve makes field service easier and extends wear part life, and a locking ring prevents the dosing setting from drifting. Supplied with Viton seals.
Typical applications: mid to large ranges, drip irrigation, boom-mounted application, operations that have outgrown a 14 GPM injector.
Note the 1-1/4″ NPT connection — larger than the 1″ on the D45RE15 it replaces.
D40MZ2 — 40 GPM, 0.2–2%
Highest capacity model, on a 1-1/2″ line. Can be installed in parallel with a second unit where one injector is not enough.
Typical applications: large greenhouse ranges, nursery and field fertigation, high-pressure systems.
Seal material
Seal compatibility is determined by what you are injecting, not by the model. Injecting the wrong chemistry through the wrong seal shortens the life of the unit.

Viton is standard for greenhouse fertigation and is what ships unless specified otherwise. If you inject peracetic sanitizers such as ZeroTol or SaniDate, you need Kalrez seals — call us and we will order the correct configuration. We stock seal and rebuild kits in all three materials.

Recommended accessories
Dosatron recommends a 200 mesh filter upstream of every injector — inadequate filtration is the most common cause of premature seal and piston wear we see. Also consider a check valve, which many local codes require for backflow prevention, a pressure regulator if incoming pressure exceeds the unit’s range, and a flow restrictor on low-flow systems.

No. They operate on the water pressure in the supply line, which allows installation in locations without electrical service.
What replaced the D45RE15?
The D6MZ2VF. It has a higher flow ceiling (26 GPM versus 20), a wider operating pressure range (4.3–116 PSI), and a wider injection range at the concentrated end (up to 2% versus 1.5%). Note that it connects at 1-1/4″ NPT where the D45RE15 was 1″.
Which model replaces the Dosatron DI16?
The D14MZ2. It provides a higher flow rate, fewer internal parts and a chemical-resistant housing.
What is the difference between fixed and adjustable ratio models?
A fixed-ratio unit such as the D25F1 doses at one concentration, 1:100, which cannot be changed. Adjustable models can be set anywhere within their stated range. Fixed models remove the possibility of an unintended setting change; adjustable models accommodate varying feed concentrations.
Why are the ratios written as 1:500 to 1:50?
That’s Dosatron’s notation for the same thing as 0.2% to 2%. It reads backwards from what you’d expect: 1:50 is more concentrated than 1:100, because it’s one part concentrate to fewer parts water.
Is a filter required?
Dosatron recommends a 200 mesh filter ahead of the injector. Operating without adequate filtration will shorten service life of the seals and piston.
Which seals do I need?
Viton for fertilizers, pesticides and acidic products including pH-down. Aflas for alkaline products above pH 7, such as pH-up, liquid lime, and calcium or potassium carbonate. Kalrez for peracetic acid sanitizers like ZeroTol and SaniDate. Injectors ship with Viton unless specified. Call us with what you’re injecting and we’ll confirm the right configuration.
Do all four models use the same pipe size?
No. The D25F1 and D14MZ2 are 3/4″ NPT, the D6MZ2VF is 1-1/4″, and the D40MZ2 is 1-1/2″. Stepping up in flow generally means stepping up in pipe size, so check the connection against your existing plumbing before ordering.
How do I determine the flow rate I need?
Total the GPM of all zones capable of running simultaneously through the injector and size to that figure rather than to typical use. Where the requirement falls between two models, select the larger.
Are replacement parts available?
Yes. Dosatron supplies complete wear-part kits, stocked here for all four models. Most common service work requires no special tools.
