Roll Bar Adapter Installation (RBA20M-1.3 and RBA20M-SC)

The RBA20M series of roll bar adapters are designed to solve one specific problem: aligning a pipe over a shaft cleanly and precisely.

What they are not designed to do is connect the pipe to the shaft through two separate bolted joints.

A common installation error is attaching the adapter to the shaft, and then drilling a separate, additional hole through the adapter to bolt the pipe to the adapter on its own. This creates two independent connections instead of one continuous assembly — and it puts the entire load on that second, drilled connection, which was never engineered to carry it. This is why adapters installed this way snap.

The correct method uses a single bolt that passes through all three components together — the pipe, the adapter, and the shaft — as one assembly. This single through-bolt is what carries the load. There is no separate joint connecting the pipe to the adapter, and none should be added.

Watch the video below to see the correct through-bolt installation for the RBA20M-1.3 and the RBA20M-SC adapters, and make sure your next install is done right the first time.
