Description

Jain On/Off Twist Weights hang from an irrigation line into individual pots. Twisting the weight clockwise pulls the tubing through the cone and stops flow; twisting counterclockwise releases it and resumes watering. No valve, no kinking, no separate shutoff at each pot.

The slender weight body allows a pot to be pulled in and out for spacing or harvest without disturbing the weight or damaging the plant.

Not pressure compensating. Best suited to fast watering rather than precise, uniform flow across long runs.

Turning water on or off

Hold the tubing in one hand and the weight in the other. Twist the weight clockwise until the tubing passes fully through the cone — this stops flow. To resume, twist counterclockwise until the tube releases.

Pressure compensating No
Maximum row length 50′ on 1/2″ supply line
Pack quantity 10
Available lengths 24″, 36″, 48″

Confirmed via Nolt’s (our supplier): all three lengths — 24″, 36″, and 48″ — use 0.060″ ID tubing. A separate manufacturer catalog page showed the 48″ length at 0.076″ ID, but that appears to be a different Jain variant, not the one we stock.

FAQ
How do I turn the water on or off?

Hold the tubing in one hand and the weight in the other. Twist clockwise until the tubing passes through the cone to stop flow. Twist counterclockwise to resume.

Is this pressure compensating?

No. It’s built for fast watering, not precise flow matching across a long run.

What's the maximum row length?

Up to 50 feet when run off a 1/2″ supply line.

What tubing size does this use?

0.060″ ID across all three lengths — 24″, 36″, and 48″.

Can I remove a pot without removing the weight?

Yes. The slender design lets you pull a pot out and set it back without disturbing the weight or the plant.
